Can a desktop be shared to any number (say up to 50) of users in Windows XP and Vista when all are connected in a wireless ad hoc network? Or is there a limit on number of users that can be shared?____Thanks
Need to have this setup in a class room environment.1 person got this answerI do too

I'm not sure what you mean when you ask about sharing a desktop or sharing users. A networked computer can share its files and printers with other computers, but there are limits that might make it unusable for you. Windows XP and Vista allow either 5 or 10 simultaneous connections from other computers, depending on the version. You'd need a Windows Server operating system or a Linux server to allow more simultaneous connections to shared files and printers. I'm also concerned that an ad-hoc network won't work well with 50 computers.
