Can Lync 2013 work with Azure SQL?

Can Lync 2013 work with Azure SQL?

I would like to deploy an enterprise pool for my front end and would like my DB to be in Azure if possible.  Is that even a possibility?

Possible?  Maybe, but the latency would kill your performance I'd think.  I wouldn't recommend it.
