Can I stop exe files?
Can I set my computer up to not allow exe files unless a password is used?Trying to stop my kids from being able to install anything at all on a laptop. I am going to put windows 7, 32 bit, tonight. If it doesn't work well, I will have to go back to XP. So if there is a way to do it, could someone explain how for XP and 7 please?I have never had to do this before, so I'm not sure how to do it. Thanks.

For 7, Enter control panel. Create an account for your kids and Make them a standard user. Then you can edit their account for parental controlls and use "PC Safeguard" The safeguard deletes all files the user added to your computer when they log off. Including homework.. So if they use the laptop for homework they may want a flash drive.
