Can I Uninstall Vista?
I got Windows RC around 3 weeks ago, however I don't have enough space to add the majority of my music files and some programs because Windows Vista is taking up too much space. I essentially have 2 operating systems on my computer right now. My intent is to buy windows 7 when it comes out, so I have no need for Vista. When I tried to remove Vista from my C Drive, I got a message that saidIhad to get permission from "Trusted Installer" to remove. Is there some way I can get rid of it?

First, backup your important data to an external device such as CDs or usb HDDs. 2nd, delete the Vista partition. Sounds like Win7 doesn't want to do it, try using GParted to remove the partition (gparted.sourceforge.net ). 3rd, boot into win7 and make sure everything is still working properly.Hello! KM47It's probably NOT in your best interest to remove Vista in that case. Odds are ifyou get Windows 7 - you're going to buy it as an Upgrade as opposed to a full retail version. And if that's the case, removing it now, then reinstalling it again before installing the upgrade would be a bit of a waste of effort. There's NO upgrade from the RC to the RTM version.
