Can't turn on windows firewall - For your security, some settings are managed by your system administrator.
1. In Windows 7, when I go to windows firewall, I get a message saying "For your security, some settings are managed by your system administrator. " 2. When I click on "use recommended settings" I get an error saying: Windows Firewall can't change some of your settings because they are controlled by Group Policy. Contact your system administrator if you need to change the settings"

Hi, If your computer is in a domain environment, please contact your IT staff to fix the issue. It seems you don't have permission to change Windows Firewall configurations.Niki Han TechNet Community Support

Niki, this is a personal laptop which only uses local accounts. I noticed this problem after Microsoft Security Essentials complained about a virus. Any other suggestions are welcome.
