Can't turn on File sharing or Printer sharing in Vista
I am running Vista Home Premium sp2 on a Dell XPS430 64 bit. I can't turn on file sharing, printer sharing, or Network discovery. When I try, I get the error "The specified service does not exist as an installed service". The processes Server and Workstation are running. Any ideas? John. M. Cheek

They were all running except Computer Browser. When I tried to start it, I got an error: Windows could not start the Computer Browser service on local computer. Error 1060: The specified service does not exist as an installed service. After poking around a bit, I discovered that I couldn't find Netsvcs on the C: drive. Do I need the Dell system disc or is there somewhere I could download a Vista version?John. M. Cheek
