Can't turn off Parental Control
I am the administrator on my computer and have the only account set up. Somehow parental controls have been turned on and will not let me perform some functions. An error message appreas saying I do not have the authorization (or something to that effect) to preform this action. I can not get on the internet - it is connected, I can see that, but it will not let me access the internet. I have tried numerous times and ways to turn off parental contols, but it does not let me access the internet. I also cannot do a system restore, again, the parental controls do not let me. Any assistance you can give would be greatful. This is driving me crazy!

First check for that option in your security program\anti-virus. It may controlled there. If not... Click Start\Control Panel\User Accounts and Family Safety and select parental controls and change the settings. If that does not work, go to the same place and create a new Account for yourself in the administrative type with a password no one knows. Reboot and log-on to the new account. Is everything ok in the new account? If yes, transfer any files\data\bookmarks\favorites to the new account. Then delete the old problem account. Next create a new standard user account for other users or enable the guest account for other users.
