Router for connecting to Internet for laptops using WiFi. Before connecting the wireless router on Computer C, we were able to share HP OfficeJet 8500 on Computer A. After connecting router, Computer C does not find OfficeJet 8500 on Computer AIt seems as if Computer A and B are on one network and Computer C is on another network. HiI do noy know what plug to the wall memss.Router is not connected to a computer. Router on the WAN Side is connected to the Internet Modem, and all he computers that suppose to Share (wire, or and Wireless) should connect to the Router to form a Local Network.Usually it looks like this.http://www.ezlan.net/network/router.jpg Jack, MVP-Networking. HiI cannot help you without understanding the Topology. The word connected is simple when One deal with plumbing with computer and Router there are different ports, and different ways to connect and configure the same device. Thus just stating, "WRT160N connected to a computer is quite meaningless.A common mistake is to connect a second Router on a system through the WAN port thus creating a second independent Network. As a long shoot, maybe this can Help.Using a Wireless Router as a switch with an Access Point - http://www.ezlan.net/router_AP.html Jack-MVP Windows Networking.
