Can't see remote printer
I have a D-Link EBR-2310 router attached to my wife's computer. Unfortunately the drive C: refused to boot and I had to install everything again. The router appears to be working alright, we can access the Internet / Mail from either computer. Each computer can see the other, if I click on "My Network Places" and get to MSHome. The problem is that I can no longer print from my computer to the Laserjet attached to my wife's computer. This used to work fine before the drive crash. If I do an Add Printer/network printer/browse on my wife's computer it shows both computers and when I click on them it lists the printers attached to each computer. If I do the same on my computer, it shows both computers, and though I can click on my computer and get it to show the attached printers, when I click on my wife's computer it doesn't show her printers. There is a + symbol next to her computer, which I assume means it knows there are printers there. All printers are set to allow sharing. Shaw Secure (firewall) is also set to allow print/file sharing on both computers. So, as far as I can see everything is set the same on both computers. Both computers are running XP-Pro, so they should be able to share printer drivers across the network. HELP!!! Regards, Ed Buscall1 person needs an answerI do too
