Can't rename network
In my Network and Sharing Center, I have a home network set up, my routerappears to belabled "Network 2" and I can not find a way to change it's name to "Router". The visual diagram in the Network and Sharing Center windowshows "This computer" on the left, "Network 2" in the middle, and "Internet" on the right, so I'm assuming "Network 2" is my router? When I signed onto Windows 7 today, my internet connection was disabled. I poked around, and saw it was set up as a public network. I changed it to a home network, so I guess that's where it got the "Network 2" from. Any way to change it's name?

You could edit the registry.Backup your registry first.Search for all instances of "Network 2" and change them. The usual warnings and disclaimers for editing the registry apply.

Hi1. This is not your router but this is your network2. On network map in same place is shown router because you go out via router3. To change name from network 2 to whatever you want, open network center and just click on icon/image(for home network it is picture of house) at left on network name and type new name
