What version of Office are you using? If it's 2003 or earlier have you looked at the Office Compatibility Pack? -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

Your version of Office is Office2003 or older, and are getting attachments created in Office 2007 or2010. You have two things you can do either of:1. Ask your correspondents who use Office 2007 or 2010 to do a "Saveas" instead of a "Save" and choose .doc or .xls instead of .docx or.xlxs.2. Download and install the "Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack forWord, Excel, and PowerPoint File Formats" athttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=enor http://tinyurl.com/26y3lxdKen Blake (MS MVP)
