Can't map a drive to a sub-folder.
I have a number of Dell Latitude D430 computers running Windows XP SP3 in an AD domain environment. On some of these system you cannot map directly to a sub-folder of a network share. You can only map direcly to the share. For example, if I have a share on Server1 named Share1 with a folder named Share1, I cannot execute a net use command or connect with a Map Network Drive to \\Server1\Share1\Folder1 but I can sucessfully map to \\Server1\Share1 and then access the folder and its contents. This happens regardless of the login account including a domain administrator account. On other XP systems with the same login credentials the map will suceed. So far I have been unsucessful in finding any information about this issue. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?1 person needs an answerI do too
