Can't install shared printer on Vista machine
I have a home network using a Netgear WGR614 wirless router, an HP d80000t Laptop with XP media editon connected wirelessly, a HP Slimline 3020N running Vista Basic Media Editon connected wirelessly and an HP Pavilion desktop a350n connected by cable. I have an HP9800 printer connected to the laptop, and a HP psc 2210 and HP 3600 connected to the a350n. I can install the 2210 and 3600 as network printers on the laptop, and I can install the 9800 on both the Slimline and the a350n desktops. But I cannot install the 2210 and 3600 as network printers on the Vista 3020N. I keep getting a message saying I do not have access rights to them. Yet obviously the printers permissions for sharing from the a350 desktop are set right as they installed on the laptop OK. What is it about Vista that won't let me connect to a printer on one XP machine but allows a printer from another XP machine. And the XP machines interchange 100%.
