Can't install Win7 SP1 ...
I got a computer here which is running windows 7 64 bit. Right now I'm trying to get service pack 1 installed, but this always with the error: ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND(0x80070002). There are several things I've tried: I uninstalled ESET Smart Security 4 and I disabled all non-micorsoft-services with no change. Now I've run the readiness tool which gives me back on error in the log file: ================================= Checking System Update Readiness. Maybe someone here can help me out? I at loss right now ... thanks bye the way :)

Run an in-place upgrade [1][2] to repair your windows. Your programs are still usable after doing the InPlace upgrade. This repairs all missing/damaged files. You will then be able to install the Sp1 without any issues. Okay - last resort :) Hoperfully that'll help. I startet the in-place-upgrad right away and it sits at "Searching for installation updates ..." - there's been no downloading so far - for the past 10min now. Is that normal? It was some stupid webcam - now its sitting at "Upgrading Windows ... Copying Windows files (0%)" It's now been like that for about half an hour. Hopefully it'll show some progress till tomorrow morning ... Okay - so some progress. But after a while I get an error: "Setup can't continue. Restart computer and restart setup. When prompted try getting the latest updates." Did that - and also tried to do it without updated via internet. But it's always the same. An "sfc /scannow" in elivated cmd left mie with "Windows resource protection could not perform the rewquested operation". Any further suggestions would be much appreciated ...
