Hi aviramof, Please understand that third party software has its own way to program codes and call corresponding system resources when installing and running. Therefore, If you want to learn more information, please contact the manufacturer Acronis who will be more familiar with their products. In the meantime, please be assured that I will work closely with you from the Operating System side. If we confirm this is not a Windows 7 problem, you need to contact the software manufacturer directly. Thank you very much for your understanding. According to the error message, it is possible the current user does not have full permission to access the registry key. At this time, let's take ownership of the registry key and see if the software can be installed. 1. Click the "Start" button, type "regedit" (without quotation marks) in the "Search" bar, right click on the "regedit.exe" found in the list and then click "Run as administrator". 2. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{C539A15B-3AF9-4c92-B771-50CB78F5C751}\lmplemented Categories\{00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} 3. Right click the {00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} entry on the left pane, choose "Export", select "Desktop" in the "Save in" box and type "backup" (without quotation marks) in "File Name". Click "Save". Please Note: The backup file is on the Desktop and named "backup.reg". We can simply restore the registry by double-clicking the "backup.reg" file. 4. Right click on the {00021490-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} entry on the left pane and choose Permissions… 5. Please check if "Administrators" is listed in the "Group and User" name list. If not, please click the "Add" button and type "Administrators" in the open window and click "OK" to add this group. 6. Highlight "Administrators" and check on "Full Control" under "Accept". 7. Click the "Advanced" button and choose the "Owner" tab. 8. Highlight the current user account in the list and mark the check box before "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects". 9. Click OK to save changes and wait for Windows 7 to transfer the ownership of all the objects on the partition. Note: if there is the warning information "Error: The Registry Editor could not set security in the key currently selected, or some of its subkeys", it is normal. Please click "OK". 10. Click OK again to save the changes and exit the Properties window. After that, please try to install the software again. However, if it still cannot be installed, please post the new error message occurs. Hope this helps. Regards, Linda
