Can't get a used to part of the network PC connect to regular internet at home.
I got a used PC that used to part of a business network station. It is using XP Pro. They clean up all the files and applications. When I connect it to my home router, the computer has a message of "Limited or No connectivity". I tried all kind of connection setting and testing, but no luck. I have never deal with this kind of issue before, so hopefully someone can guide me to reset this.1 person needs an answerI do too

Control Panel | Network Connections. Find the local area network connection go to Properties | Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) | Properties and make sure it's set to automatically obtain an IP address and DNS servers. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

Sort of hard to say without seeing the machine. You're connecting wired or wireless? Does your router handle DHCP - giving out IP addresses and DNS settings? -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook
