Can't get Outlook Express on my new laptop
I just got a new laptop from the company I work for and I'm trying to make it functional. It has Windows XP with IE8. Is there a way for me to get Outlook Express for my personal emails like I had before? The company email is Outlook and that's on this laptop. I don't want to use that for my personal correspondence. thanks.

Does the computer belong to you or your employer? Are you certain that it's a WinXP computer?~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (IE, Mail, Security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ Disclaimer: MS MVPs neither represent nor work for Microsoft

The computer belongs to my employer. If O.E. isn't available, what is it's substitute? I need somewhere to save these messages. Yes, the operating system is windows XP professional.

You can ask the following questions:1. Am I permitted to access my personal email using the company-owned laptop?2. If so, can I re-enable access to Outlook Express (or install another Mail Client) & use it for non-work related purposes?~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (IE, Mail, Security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ Disclaimer: MS MVPs neither represent nor work for Microsoft

Typically the shortcut to OE is hidden, especially if Outlook is installed. The program is msimn.exe and is located in C:\Program Files\Outlook Expresss\msimn.exe and so you should be able to click on it and it should start OE fine. steve <ezone99> wrote in message news:Email removed for privacy...I just got a new laptop from the company I work for and I'm trying to make it functional.
