My wireless network connection is down. I have windows vista ultimate (32) and my wireless has been working for 9 months and now it's not. When I go to "manage network connections" I can only see "local area network connection" icon and not the "wireless network connection" icon were it had been there the previous 9 months. I have no clue what caused this. When have noticed in the "device manager" under "network adapters" an yellow exclamation mark next to "6TO4 adapter". I don't know if that is related to my wireless network problem.

Is this in the wrong forum?

Hi Confu, I would like to confirm if the wireless network adapter can be detected in the Device Management: 1. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc in the Start Search box and press Enter. 2. Expand Network adapters to check if the wireless network adapter is shown. If the wireless network adapter is not displayed under Network adapters, please click Action, click Add legacy hardware and follow the instructions to add the wireless network adapter. If it still doesnt work, I suspect there is something wrong with the network card. Thus, I suggest contacting the hardware manufacturer to further check the problem. They are the best resource for hardware issue. If the wireless network adapter is displayed, please capture the status of it for further research.

Thanks for the reply! I tried using the add legacy hardware for teh 6to4 adapter and that didn't change anything but I don't know if that's my wireless adapter. Under "Network Adapters" in "Device Manager" I have two things: "6TO4 Adapter" and "NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller". Should there be another one? If so, what network adapter should I attempt to add and if you don't know where might I find out? Thanks again.

Hi Confu, 6TO4 is notwireless adapter.The wireless adapter should be displayed like " wireless xxxxxxx". Based on the currentsituation, I suggest thatyou contact the hardware manufacture. Theyshould be the best resource for assistance.
