Can't find wireless channel 13
The wireless internet connection at the office has been playing up, so someone called O2 (ISP) and they've changed the router to Channel 13 apparently. Now my laptop (running Windows 7) won't show the network. It doesn't list it as one of the available networks so I can't connect to it. I know the wireless network is running fine as other devices here are picking it up OK, but I can't seem to find a way to make Windows 7 detect this network. Any suggestions?

I had this, but on windows XP. Basically it was the setup of the network driver. Go to Network and Sharing Center (via control panel, networking) and click on Manage network connections. Right Click on Wireless Network Connection and select Properties. Just under the description box should be a Configure button - click this Click the Advanced Tab and there should be a Value to do with the channel - change it to 1-13 (Some adapters are set up to use channel 1-11 as a default) Hope this helps, Cheers, Simon motogoat.co.uk

Here's my properties: http://i568.photobucket.com/albums/ss124/01steven/wireless.jpg Can't see which one relates to the channel- maybe the one highlighted called 'No Description'? It's currently set to 11- should I change it to 13?

You can try setting it to 13. Is your laptop made for NorthAmerica. If so then the firmware for the radio will only show/allow channels 1-11.

Laptop was bought from Dell here in the UK. I move around with it using different wireless networks in different locations. If I change it to 13 and it works (can't test it yet as not in that location right now), will I have to change it back again when I leave to access other networks?

Tried 1-13, and just 13. But neither have worked- still can't see my wireless network in the list of available wireless networks.
