Can't find a driver
I learned a long time ago not to trust any of those sites that want to check your system and update your drivers. In one way or another they all install malware on your system and some will even destroy your installed system. If you need a driver update Microsoft will let you know via Windows Update! Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Well on my last notebook, I was able to use USB storage for readyboost. Now I got an all-in-one PC, and a new USB storage; don't think there is any faster than USB 2.0, but windows doesn't accept it for readyboost. I tried to install an USB driver from the PC manufactor support downloads, but it alerts that it doesn't find any USB 3.0 controller. So I tried to let one of the many ads programs look at my drivers. I would not allow any of them to update anything, since who knows who update their database of drivers. But one actually just reported 3 old drivers of which 2 were actually possible to update. So why not try the last, which is the USB driver and see whether it makes readyboost works.

Currently Microsoft does not have a generic USB 3.0 driver and the drivers for USB 2.0 have no affect on the USB 3.0 ports after the USB 3.0 driver is installed. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. But I got it from http://driverscanner.com/ Last time I had a notebook HP dv-7, windows update actually neither worked regarding the graphics card driver. There were a particular problem with something called "Object scarring" that would crash games so you needed the update, and when you had updated the driver, windows update would revert it. So maybe it is possible to find this usb driver. The scanner reported 3 outdated on this PC, and two of them were actually outdated, so I thought why not try to find the last.
