Hello! I have a problem. When I define a default item in User Configuration->Preferences->Control Panel->Internet Settings (I press OK right after the customization dialog shows up) I can't download exe and zip files (I can download doc, ppt, pdf). It took me like 2 hours to figure out ANY way to get it working. First, I opened IE as local admin, went into Tools->Internet Options->Security tab, set Default level for Internet zone, restarted IE and it did not work. I repeated it for every zone with no change. Then I went to Advanced, set all Advanced properties to default (Restore Advanced Settings), restarted... nothing. After that I reset the whole IE with the button in Advanced tab and it miraculously works (until GPO is applied). Does anybody have an idea what setting does IE reset? Seems like I can't use IE8 in GPO :( Naturally, I also played with Downloads section in Security Tab->Custom Level with no results.
