Can't connect wirelessly.
I have not been able to use our wireless network for about 2 days now. When I try to connect it displays a window reading "waiting for network to be ready..." When it was working it used to do this for a couple of seconds and then connect but now it does this non-stop and never connects. Eventually it gives up and never connects. The Belkin router seems to be working fine and I am able to connect with the cable just fine and be on the net, just not wirelessly. I called Belkin and they could not figure it out and said it seems to be a problem with the firewall and told me to turn off my Mcafee firewall and windows firewall. I was able to get Mcafee one turned off but when I went to Windows security and clicked on Windows Firewall it gives me the message "due to an unidentified problem windows cannot display firewall settings". Can anyone help with this??? Joe1 person needs an answerI do too

HiI am not familiar with Mcafee but most of the 3rd party Firewalls switch Off Windows Firewall when they are installed. That is probably why it reacts this way.It might be that it is Not enough to just turn the Mcafee Off, you have to configure the "Trusted Zone" to make sure that it allows the Local Network Traffic to pass. Read the Mcafee manual concerning the LAN traffic. Jack, MVP-Networking. WWW.EZLAN.NET
