Can't connect to 2003 VPN
These settings could get me connected to a 2003 Standard VPN...no luck now, no matter what I do I can't get connected. Anyone else run into these issues?

Try unchecking IPv6 on the Networking Tab of the connection.

That didn't do it...I tried that one earlier too. Thanks for the help :)

Have you tried Automatic VPN instead of PPTP? I was able to get mine working using both of these settings.

Finally got it working: after many attempts unchecking IPv6 and selecting PPTP helps.Sergey Bereznikov, Software Expert, Digital Design, Russia

I am kinda running into same problem but this is happening with me on Vista as well so I'm not sure if this is a windows problem or a VPN configuration I have set up in ISA Server 2006. I am able to connect to the VPN with no problem at all and I can ping IPs on that VPN network and Remote Desktop and everything. Then the next day (computer has been on all night) come back and connect to the VPN again and it connects fine but now I cant ping any IP address or remote to any machine? I dont have a clue what is going on. And then all of a sudden by either connecting and disconnecting and connecting again over and over or wait another day everything will work again.

Hi, The VPN connection issues can be caused by several reasons. Did you get the error message and error code when the issue occurs? You may refer the following article and try to find the reasons. List of Error Codes that you may receive when you try to make a dial-up connection or a VPN connection in Windows Vista The article is also applied in Windows 7 beta. Arthur Xie - MSFT
