Can't connect my Toshiba Satellite Pro using Windows XP Professional through either a cable or a USB wireless adapter (Belkin N Model F5D8053 v6 to the internet. Router connects perfectly to another wireless enabled laptop.
I have followed the installation guides to the letter in installing the Router and after discovering that the cable connection was not operating, I have spent 30 mins with my ISP help, then 30 mins with Belkin help, then 60 mins further with ISP help. I then bought the USB adaper on the assumption that as the wireless connection must be working a USB wireless adapter would surely connect. But not so. Help please.1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi If there is a wire capability and it does not work, forget for the time being about Wireless since there is No chance that it will work.Deal first with the wired connection, http://www.ezlan.net/debug.htmlWhen the wire connection works, use it to connect to the Router's menu (read the Router's manual) and check the Wireless setting.Disable the Wireless security and see if you can connect with No security.Once you can connect with No security enable the security. In general. My Wireless does not work - http://www.ezlan.net/wireless.htmlWireless Basic Configuration - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Config.htmlWireless Security - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.htmlJack, MVP-Networking.
