Can't call defrag from XML or batch program
Trying to call disk defrag from a program using an XML or from within an HTA file. The defrag program will not launch and does not display any errors. However, the same syntax used works fine with the command prompt or the run command. I also tried running with elevated rights such as "administrator". I tried to take owner ship of defrag.exe as well as turning off UAC. No success. I used the following syntax: "mmc.exe c:\windows\system32\dfrgui.msc" and cmd c:\windows\system32\dfrgui.exe

Hi, Please right click drive C in Computer and click Properties. Switch to Tools tab and click "Defragment now…" button. Does the Defragment window pop up? If not, I suggest you try the following steps. Run Check Disk to fix disk errors. What's the result? Thanks, Novak
