Can't add windows home server as libraries
Using Windows RC1 and WHS Power pack 1. I cannot add windows home server (WHS) shares to libraries. I get 'The network location can't be included because it is not indexed'. I didn't have this error with the beta. I'm fairly sure WHS is indexed as its built on Win2003 and the Indexing Service is running. I've tried the trick of add WHS media folders as watches in Media Player which works for those folders, but doesn't help for added other folders to libraries. Any thoughts?

Have you tried posting to the Windows Home Server forum? http://social.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/whssoftware/threads/ MS-MVP Windows Desktop Experience, "When all else fails, read the instructions"

Yes. Interestingly the reply was to post to the windows 7 forum. Its a bit of a bummer this no longer works. Libraries are essentially useless for me now. Any other help would be appreciated.

I can't say I noticed this - all of the relevant shares were pulled in (pretty much) automatically. I am not at home though so the folders all show up as unavailable under libraries. I'll check as soon as I get home and follow-up....Stephen

Evidently it is one of those things that affects someusers but not others. All the shares are properly identified under the correct libraries. Out of curiousity, what security program are you using? I had all sorts of issues accessing things on my home server until I uninstalled Eset Smart Security. Sorry - wish I could be of more help....Stephen

I'm not using any. I actually had to reinstall my Home Server this weekend and still can't add server shares.

what do you mean all the relevant shares were pulled in? You see them when you click on libraries?
