Can't access one computer on my home network that I could access before.
I have two desktop computers and a laptop, which I'm not using at the moment. One desktop is running Windows XP Home with SP3, the other is running Windows XP Pro with SP2. I can access and share files on the XP Pro computer from XP Home computer, but not vice versa. It used to work the other way as well, but has now stopped working. When I try to access drives on the XP Home machine from the XP Pro computer, I get an error message saying: "<Drive> not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions." Then either, "The network path was not found" or "Not enough server storage is available to process this command."I've gone through several step others have tried with the same problem, but they didn't help. I went through the Network set up wizard on both computers. I checked a registry entry to make sure it's set to 0 instead 1, and it was. I installed a Guest account with no password on the XP Home computer. Unplugged the router and replugged it in. Changed out network cables. Turn off and then back on file sharing on the XP Home computer. And some other steps that I can't remember. Nothing worked. What's going on here?1 person needs an answerI do too
