Can't access an XP machine from my Windows 7 machine
Background: I have a laptop that was recently upgraded to Windows 7 (was previously XP). I network it through a docking station - LAN connection and also wireless. I need to be able to connect to the files and the printer on another system
- that system is on XP.
I put the W7 machine into the same workgroup as the laptop, and it sees the XP machine in networking. But when I attemt to connect to it, adding XP-PCNAme/Username and then password to the connection dialogue box, it is denied.
I was previously able to connect to this machine and print just fine when it was XP.
Odd thing: when I go to the XP machine, I can access the files on the W7 machine just fine.
