When I go to "media streaming options" by typing in "stream" in the start menu it's supposed to say "show devices on: Local network/All Networks", but it doesn't say anything. Basically, it means it wont let me turn on my media streaming to stream to my xbox 360. I know it's supposed to show all devices connected to the network because it works on my brother's computer.The drop-down menu doesn't show anything at all though and it doesn't show any devices. One thing I tried doing was starting the" homegroup troubleshooter". When I do this, it says "Synchronize your computer clock with your local standard time" with the options to "apply this fix" or "skip this step". When I click to apply the fix, it says "The system time is different from your local standard time--Not Fixed". I'm not sure if this has anything to do at all with the streaming, but I don't know how to fix it. I have absolutely no idea what to do and I don't find anything with google searches. Please help!

Hi, Regarding the error message from Troubleshooter, it can occur if your computer time is incorrect. Please assure time and date are correct first. I hav the same problem... the computer is on a network where media streaming works fine and the 360 plays music off of any other windows 7 computer... basically the screen that sould come up the first time you open "media streaming options" doesn't, so the option to turn on streaming is physically not there. Once again i will state that the computer is the problem, the network is not, and no guide addresses this problem
