Can't Send Emails
Operating System:Windows XPAntivirus program:McAfee AntivirusI have two email addy's on Outlook Express 6.0 both of which have worked fine for years. Now, for the past 3 weeks, I can only receive emails on one of the addy's. I cannot send and get the error:"The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.bellspalsy.ws', Server: 'mail.bellspalsy.ws', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"I have checked with my ISP, Verizon. They tried a few things and said to contact Outlook. I also checked with the email provider of the email addy that is not working. They said that there is nothing wrong at their end.Any suggestions?1 person needs an answerI do too

HiAFAIK, Verizon blocks SMTP email from Outlook (or any other mail program) unless you use a Verizon email through their SMTP server.Your server is mail.bellspalsy.ws, since Verizon block port 25 (smtp) the mail does not go out.Option 1. Use Verizon email address and their server.Option 2. Find out if mail.bellspalsy.ws can accept other port and change it in Outlook.Option 3. Use a Webmail through the Browser..Jack MVP-Networking. Thank you for your response. The tech at Verizon spent quite a bit of time with me, trying to ammend my situation. He gave me different port numbers to try. I will probably choose either 2 or 3 of your suggested options.I've used this email address with Verizon as my main ISP for over 4 years and don't know why this should happen suddenly 3 weeks ago???Thanks for answering so quickly.
