Can't Display Shared Folders for one computer in a workgroup
Hi there, I have more than 40 computers belonging to a workgroup where I have Shared some folders in each computer, everything is working fine except for one computer where recently while I try to access it from any other computer, i get an Empty window as if there is no shares available, eventhough this computers settings is similar to remaining computers and after several restarts and attempts no luck till now, Please keep in mind that windows firewall in turned off and no other running antivirus or firewalls exists on the system.Please help1 person needs an answerI do too

If the computer giving you problems is XP Home or it is XP Pro with "Simple File Sharing" enabled, all access to shares is through the Guest account. Make sure that the Guest account is "active" (although it doesn't have to be "enabled"). Also make sure there aren't any passwords on the Guest account. Hi40 computers on a Work Group?Windows client OS' can maintain only 10 concurrent Network connections.For more than 10 you need a real server. Jack-MVP Windows Networking. WWW.EZLAN.NET

... but wouldn't be hard to use up those 10 concurrent connections if no other machine could connect to it?JW
