We currently have laptops that are installed in police cars. The laptops have Zebra printers that print tickets for the officers. They remove the laptops for the vehicles, which unplugs the usb Zebra printer. For whatever reason, Windows 7 will sometimes not recognize the printer and it has to be reinstalled. We gave the users full access to the printer and allowed them to install/uninstall drivers and adjust printer properties. The Zebra printers use a custom label/paper size. You can create the custom label/template size via administrative rights and users can select it with their rights. However, when Windows 7 decides the printer is unrecognizable, the custom label needs to be configured when the users reinstall the printer. The user will select custom label and enters the dimensions of the paper. The user then clicks ok. However, the custom label is not created. You do not get any error. A user can successfully select and apply labels that are created by default. (For example 3x3 inches). The user just cannot create a custom label. Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know how to fix the problem. Kurt Kurt
