Hi I have (tried to) set-up the wireless connection manualy, password and encryption are ok, but the windows 7 won't connect to the router, needless to say I have done it in the same way on vista and it's working so the router is not the problem, for some reasone after I comfime the password, close the propertis screen, then open it again, and press show (the) characters I get a weird series of numbers and letters, NOT the password I entered. any suggestions what can i do to fix this problem I'm using Asus AM 604g, and the 64bit win7. thanks

Are you still trying? What kind of encryption do you use with your router? WEP, WPA, WPA2? -Nick

If you click show characters when you type in the password does it work?
