Camera crashing my EEEPC
I have a Celeron based ASUS EEPC 900. All is well, except when I use an application that makes use of the built in webcam. As soon as the webcam starts - the PC freezes, for good. It started with MSN. I uninstalled MSN, and tried Skype - same story. Nothing in the eventlog - and device managed reports the camera is working properly.Anyone able to assist me with debugging and solving? Otherpeople with the same machine seem to be OK.

Have you tried to install Vista drivers for the webcam?

Thanks. I haven't tried them. The Asus site only has XP drivers, and I can't find vista drivers. The camera shows up as a USB2.0 1.3M UVC Webcam. Any idea where I can find a vista driver for this?

Hi,
Please understand that it is hardware manufacturers responsibility to develop device drivers for their hardware devices to work with the related operating systems. Microsoft doesnt have much information about their product. Given the situation, I suggest you contact manufacturer to push them release latest driver for Windows 7.
Thanks.
