Camera

Hello

i am using HP laptop with windows 8.1 but as i access the camera app it posts: It looks like there is something wrong with your camera. check the manufacturer's website for troubleshooting info. as well when i use skype it does not function also. in addition when i open the cyberlink youcam 5 the picture do not appear and all settings in it are correct.

so i need help.??

Use original drivers and support fro Hewlett Packard. Based on the model of your computer you can find appropriate drivers there on HP web pages. If there are any problems, contact HP support.

Try to avoid optional drivers from MS update.

If you get into problems, make sure that your hardware is compatible with operating systm installed.

did you upgrade your OS?

what is the status at device manager, device not detected or else?

if your webcam working fine before, try system restore

if system restore and re-install driver cant solved the problem, you need to perform recovery using your original OS to isolate OS issue

contact HP for detail HW troubleshooting, I suspected this is driver or HW issue since this issue happen in many application
