Call was not completed or has ended

Hi all,

we are experiencing issue where Our main switch Board cannot answer incoming Calls. Its same when using Lync attendant and Lync 2013 Client.

Error Message when try to answer the Call is Call was not completed or has ended.

When i check on mediation server it generates Event ID 25073 which states:

The Mediation Server service has received a call that does not support comfort noise from the Gateway peer

Cause: The Gateway peer does not support comfort noise.

Resolution:

Please ensure the comfort noise option on the Gateway has been enabled.

We did Call Our provider, but they say its not fault from their side.It has been working fine until yesterday.

No updates has been done from Our side.I was wondering if  Trunk configuration ,should enable media bypass and enable refer support be enabled?

thanks!

Hi,

thats the issue,we cannot Access Our gw,since its a service from Our ISP.We have talked to them and they wont enable Comfort noise cause it could affect other customers. They say its error on Lync server side which we think is wrong.

Usually error about "Comfort Noise" does not create a problem.

Can you run Lync Logging to collect errors?

hi,in lync error log last message is OK 200,which means sip trunk should have been transfered to Lync.

We manage to trace the cause of this issue, but hard to belive its caused by re-newing internal cert.

We requested a new internal cert added meet.domain2.com.We have now rolled back to earlier cert and now main switch board can answer and transfer calls.Only issue is now that meet doesnt work for domain2,since name is not in cert.

We have checked cert type on both and they are equal, other than meet.domain2.com.

Any ideas?

Hi,

From your description above, it can be the issue with the new assigned certificate.

After assign the new certificate for FE Server and Reverse Proxy, make sure you have rerun step 2 and then restart Lync Services. Make sure the CMS replication update to the latest status.

Can you run logging on Lync server for SIP STACK and Outbound Routing. Trace what happen to the call and see where's the BYE is coming from. Comfort Noise will not case a call to terminate like that. It will complain, but the call will remain.

Hi all and thanks for all Your replies.

Sip trunk is set to TCP and yes we did restart required services after assigning New cert.

We however did manage to solve this by restarting the server this weekend.Seems like something was still hanging on the old cert.

thanks all!
