I've been running W7 on my laptop for a while and like it a good bit. No Aero due to only a 64MB video card, but everything else is nice and snappy. I have a friend who would like to try W7, but I'm not sure if her WEI would be high enough to run Aero Glass. Is the algorithm known for WEI, so I can just plug in the stats?

Flaxmoore - What OS does her computer have currently installed? If she's got Vista - the WEI score won't be too far off what Win 7 will report. Personally, I'd say the actual details about what will and won't work are worth more than the WEI score which is fairly useless for the most part.
