C drive not appearing in the Computer Management window.
Hello,In the Computer Management window under storage>disk management, I no longer see my C drive. Only the CD-DVD drive and an external DVD drive is displayed. Drive C is not there. When I look under Disk Defragmentation, the C drive shows up.What gives? Thanks

Hi,Use the Diskpart utility and check if it lists the C drive. Thelist volume command will provide information about each volume in the computer.a. Click on start and then click on Run.b. Now type cmd in the text box and press enter to open Command Prompt.c. In the Command Prompt, type diskpart.exe and press enter.d. Enter the following command in diskpart utility and press enter:list volumeCheck if the C drive shows up in the list.Refer this KB article for more information about Diskpart utility:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300415Regards,Afzal Taher - Microsoft Support.Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
