CSC Caching Files It Shouldn't
Hi All, We are running Windows 7 Enterprise PCs with folder redirection for our users' profiles however we are experiencing a frustrating issue which I cannot get to the bottom of. It seems that every now and then Windows will take a cached copy of a network file even though the user has not chosen to make the file available offline. It doesn't display the green sync logo against the file, but it does save a copy in the Windows\CSC directory and the file is thus visible through Sync Center>View your offline files. It doesn't sync the file and keep the cached copy up to date. The problem this causes is that, and I'm not sure what is triggering this scenario, the user's computer will sometimes act as if it is offline and only show the user the files in the network share that it has cached, un-requested, usually only a handful of files which are often out of date. Other network shares for which no cached copies have been taken continue to function normally and the computer appears fully online in every other respect. Has anybody else experienced this issue, or have any idea what might be causing it? Thanks, Chris
