CPU runs almost 100 percent all the time when using the internet  and the memory usage stays at about 150 MB
Original title: Reinstallation problemsI have a strange problem. My machine quit. Just quit. Would not start in any mode. I rebuilt it. It works. But it’s not right. My CPU runs almost 100 percent all the time when using the internet and the memory usage stays at about 150 MB (from the graph on task manager). If I go to a simple web site that has only text the CPU is 100% for a few seconds till the screen loads, then drops off like expected. The memory usage does not change. If I go to a real busy screen like CNN or Washington Post the CPU never drops off yet the memory usage never varies more than a few percent. Why is the memory not utilized? My screen loading seems to be being paged out. Any suggestions? Computer: 4 – CPU 2.00GHz, 1.20GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM.OS: XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3.
