CPU running at half speed all the time
I am trying to figure out why my cpu runs at 50% to 100% even though I have no program started. I thought I had the problem found as the windows explorer had a problem deleting large files, they were larger than the recycle bin could take and the explorer just crashed with out telling me why, this is fixed now. But while i am sitting in my office the comuter just races up to 100% and stays there. How do I find out which process is eating up the resources and how can I then eliminate these proceses from running unrequested?1 person needs an answerI do too

Open Task Manager - that should give you a rough idea. Chances are that you've got Indexing switched on, or a desktop search engine installed, and it's rebuilding the index. It may be your AV doing a background scan. -- Noel Paton CrashFixPC Nil Carborundum Illegitemi www.crashfixpc.co.uk
