CPU 100%. I get an intermitent burst of 100% CPU with any Application running. The running Processes as displayed in Taskmanager do not show where the CPU is being used.
My PC suddenly started to run much slower, and the sound playback from WP3 files became distorted. I ran Taskmanager to see which processes used the CPU. When running any one Application the total CPU usage in Taskmanager jumps from ~12% to 100%. The System Idle Process is steady at 99%, it then goes down to ~50% but none of the other process go up. This happens at a regular interval of about every 10 seconds. Distorted sound is also at regular intervals and is a direct mirror of the CPU at 100%1 person needs an answerI do too

go to the start button in run type msconfig:: click on startup tab disable all go to the services tab check hide all microsoft services click disable all restart...upon restart go to msconfig and recheck the boxes one at a time and restart keep doing this until you find the offending program do this also with services if while in either in startup or services you see some thing you dont reconize leave it uncheked if a startup or service is needed by the opperating system it will check itself ... if you still have a problem after this un plug all added accys ubs plugs etc speakers and do the same plug in one at a time and restart etc
