CONNECT TO THE INTERNET WIRLESSLY
I am trying to connect a desktop wirelessly to the internet using explorer 8. I get error message page not found When I run a diagnostics I get - "Windows cannot connect to the internet uising HTTP, HTTPS or FTP. This is probably caused by firewall settings on this computer. Check the firewall settings for the HTTP port (80), HTTPS port (443) and FTP port (21). You might need to contact your internet service provider or the manufacturer of your firewall." MY WIRELESS CONNECTION STATUS IS EXCELLENT AND THE THE SIGNAL STRENGTH IS GOODHELP1 person needs an answerI do too

Also, make sure you have disabled Windows Firewall through services.msc. Sometime some firewalls do not turn off Windows Firewall. This gives TCPIP protocol conflict, and you got a problem.Make sure that you DO have a FIREWALL, or get one free, such as listed here:http://www.filehippo.com/software/security/Comodo, Outpost, Kaspersky, ESET NOD32, Zonealarm, Symantec all have very good firewalls. I don't like or care for McAfee for numerous reasons, but driver conflicts in numero uno.

ThanksI am nowhere near the computer now. how ever I was able to ping www.google.com.How do I get to the popup that lets me view the IP address etc.If i do disable the FIREWALL is it safe, and once connected can i turn on the FIREWALLPMGNYL
