Forum Netiquette for Newbieshttp://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1152990/forum_netiquette_for_newbies.htmlTen Tips on How Not to Enrage Forum Regulars2. Avoid all caps: HEY GUYS, WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS THREAD?This tip is self-explanatory. If you don't know already, using all caps is considered shouting. Most people use caps as a way to standout in the thread comments. However, using all caps actually makes it harder to read your comment, and the only attention you'll receive is from forum members berating you and telling you that you're shouting. Ok...wooow...didn't realize all caps was such a big deal!! anyways...I followed your instructions just as you told me, and I cannot insert an address to send my message to. Now will you help me since I typed in lowercase?!?!

Is it showing that you can either Forward, or Reply instead of a new message? If so, your XP machine is probably not fully patched at Windows Updates. An old update caused this, and below was the fix. It will work for you now, but if you're fully patched, you shouldn't need it. To complete the fix for .eml templates, a registry change is needed. See:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918766 Tom Koch also has this information at his site, along with a downloadable Zip file to do the registry change for you. yes it is opening as a read-only. I attempted to download the update (KB918766) you suggested and I got the following setup error msg: 'Setup has detected that the Service Pack version of this system is newer than the update you are applying. There is no need to install this update'.

Yes, I can forward or reply if i want to. 6.00.2900.5843

OK. You're fully patched. Just to recap, you did open a new message window and save that, not a forward or reply, correct? If so, download and install the zip file here and restart. Then check your saved eml file again.http://www.insideoe.com/#kb918651 Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]

That is correct. I followed your instructions and it works now!! Thank you very much...I really appreciate it. (And I apologize if I offended anyone by typing in all caps. I just prefer to type that way.)Candice

You're very welcome & I'm glad it is resolved. No offense taken, as you said you just like typing that way, but most people find all caps harder to read. Really. Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]

What exactly do you want to do. Send the same PDF file to many recipients, but one at a time? Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]

Yes but I need to set the email up as a template on my desktop to use multiple times.

That's what I wanted to clarify. Open a new composition window and attach the PDF file. If you want, enter any text that will be used for everyone.File | Save As and save it to the Desktop and you're all set. Bruce Hagen MS-MVP [Mail]
