Buying Windows 7 Ultimate Retail from a guy on craigslist. Any way these can't be legit?
First time buying software from a non retailer. Guy claims he has 30 retail versions of these and is selling them for $40 a piece (retail for $100+ a piece on eBay) so obviously lights went off right away. He says the boxes have never been opened and are sealed (I would verify if we meet before I gave him the money). They are the 32/64 bit versions and he had pictures of the boxes. Is there anyway these can have problems if they are still sealed? I appreciate any responses. Thanks.

I had a similar encounter with a guy selling sealed windows 7 proffessional discs a while ago. After a conversation with the guy it came up that they where stolen. Problem is with stolen software firstly of course that it is illegal, secondly microsoft might be able to trace the product keys and then disable them so you would end up with expensive installation discs without a valid serial number.Ideally i would stay away from anything that looks too good to be true. Hope this helps
