Build 7100 Local Network intermitent problem
I just upgraded from the first beta release to 7100 RC and i am using all the same applications as i was in the beta! Malwarebytes, Nod32 Security Suite Sometimes my other network computers are accessible and viewable, then after a reboot they are not. Fiddling with the network settings ect does not seem to work, just seems to work at its own will. Its getting very annoying and frustrations are giving me headaches now! Anyone have any ideas? I've had problems with the Bta, in connecting with WinXP Pro machines. Am using workgroup <name>, not homegroup. There is some help from Microsoft but it might only be to view the network layout in Seven. An older SnappApp NAS also gave me a slight headache, as did a "webdisk" app (from/by XS4ALL.NL). The last item is still unresolved so I use a workaround. More importantly, I did - like you I believe? - an *upgrade*, which we are supposed NOT to do... and now I cannot COPY files etc. from XP to Seven any more. Most every file & folder on the updated (RC) Seven boxes is now read-only (and not to be changed...). I have tried the copy on two different Seven boxes (both running RC-64bits) and it's the same for both. Think I'll report this to MS as a "bug" (??)
