I am using gdi+ (Bitmap class) to load some grayscale jpg files with bit depth of 8 (256 shades) but when loaded with dgi+the bit depth is reduced to 4 (16 shades) which decreases the quality significantly. The problem appears in Windows 7 only, in windows xp the same code works perfectly. I would like this bug to be added to the database and fixed. Is this the right place to report it? I appreciate any help as this bug is causing problems in my app.
