Tested: OL2013 + Win8 + roaming user works on a Windows 8 machine on the same LAN - but not on Win 8.1. SMTP runs on port 587 with TLS and in Outlook 2013 returns 0x800ccc0f (interrupted) on Win 8.1.

The PC with 8.1 used to work before the upgrade from Win 8 to Win 8.1. I simply took the same user account (roaming) and logged into another PC with Win 8 and OL 2013 ... no problem before Win 8.1?

So switch Win 8 with Win 8.1 ... and interaction with stmp.live.com seems to stop working correctly.

BTW: No problem with POP3 (port 995).

Only no real participation there on Win 8.1. issues on Outlook - even from MS.

There only seems to be an approx. 1 week old (8th of July) post about a similar compatibility issue: I.e. can not send using OL2013 with Live services on Win 8  - but can not send on Win 8.1. So hope someone responds to that and fixes it for Win 8.1.

MS support in the Outlook forum is redirecting questions for Win 8.1. to this Windows client forum (Win 8.1. preview).

So can you put the problem forward to somebody who is responsible for dealing with this?

Problem: On Win 8.1 Outlook has stopped working with SMTP for Windows Live? Port is 587. No problem on Windows 8(.0).

It has been like this for a few weeks.

Exactly the same user configuration across Win 8 and Win 8.1 ... all local network (roaming Windows Server 2012 user with email archives on Exchange 2013)

Hope it is fixed with the RTM of Win 8.1 orpeople may have their Outlook with Outlook.com stop working.
