Btlocker not resonding
Hi, I have an external hard drive that I have used btlocker to encrypt it. Now, when I need to get into it and I enter the correct password or recovery key the computer doesn't respond. I have tried it in safe mode, on another windows 7 PC and its doing the same thing. I need to make a copy of the data on it or get into the drive. Thanks tom_kennedy

Hi, Please try command to unlock the external hard drive. manage-bde F: -unlock -recoverypassword After pressing Enter, it will prompt to enter your recovery password. If the issue persists, please try to use the BitLocker Repair Tool to Recover a Drive http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee523219(WS.10).aspx Niki Han TechNet Community Support

since you hace already tried using UI and it did not help, try using manage-bde command open elevated command prompt >manage-bde -unlock d: -pw where d is the drive letter of your drive. Hit Enter and supply the password. If you have 48 digit recovery password, then try >manage-bde -unlock d: -rp xxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx is the 48 digit recovery password Manoj Sehgal
