I use Firefox 99% of the time. There is one place for Internet Explorer. My motherboard manufacturer uses an ActiveX module to be able to identify the users motherboard and to select the right downloads. It does not work with FireFox. I use Asus motherboards. I have used FireFox for a long time and it is fine for my needs. I liked the tabs in it better than IE's and its easier to open 10 pages at one than IE can ever manage. I trust MSIE and no other browser for a basic "You get what you pay for"/been sued-gunshy reason. MSIE in the past hasn't been able to access important sites, most notably "Are you sure you want to delete your payment information?" And for that I use firefox. I'm sort of answering my own post in advance, MSIE is free but it comes with the OS I use. If firefox made an OS and had been tried by the fire of endless lawsuits......that would be something else.

I have to agree, some litigation is vexatious and frivolous, I use a range of browsers in a VM, as I do web development so its needed to test all browsers. I like Windows 7 its sable on my machine; now if only I could get a video card that was solid. Choice is subtle, I have no problem stuffing 6 browsers into the machine. No big deal. Same BS over media player. I own an iPod so I use iTunes, big deal. MP is not my primary entertainment tool. iTunes has a much nicer user interface in my opinion. I do not understand all the fuss, iTunes is free, an iPod is optional. I used iTunes for a long time before I bought a 4GB nono a couple of years ago. Then there is WinAMP, the original MP3 player. The IE under Vista and Windows 7 is better and more secure because it runs in a sandox (protected mode - LowIL) while Firefox runs in medium IL like all other programs. Also the tab handling of IE8 is much better, because a crash of a tab doesn't kill the whole brwoeser like it is in Firefox. Review browser stats on my site, I see IE is still the favorite, Firefox is #2 and the rest are barely breathing. I use many browsers to check that my sites look OK. I use a very carefully designed style to make pages hyper fast. I am impatient, and some sites are super slow, and here there is disparity between browsers.
